City Effigy is a public art project sponsored by Arts in Transit for IN THE LOOP celebration. Upon inspection from the street, the viewer can observe City Effigy as one very large portrait. Upon even closer inspection, the viewer will see that City Effigy is actually created with a colorful mosaic of more than 250 small-scale, hand made, sculptural glass portraits. While some of the detailed portraits present the actual physical appearance of people, others provide psychological interpretations of citizens at large, reminding us of the multiplicity all along the Delmar Streetscape.
